The deans of each of UNG's five colleges - the College of Arts & Letters, the College of Education, the College of Health Sciences & Professions, the Mike Cottrell College of Business, and the College of Science & Mathematics - announced the names of those students who made their respective lists for fall 2017. Dean's List recognition is achieved by having at least a 3.5 grade point average, carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester and having no grade lower than B.

McMurry University has accepted the following students for entrance in fall 2018.

The following area students are performing in the 2017-18 McMurry University Chanters Vocal Ensemble. Chanters is the primary touring choir of the music department. They are selected by competitive audition, and the ensemble performs a wide variety of music.The Chanters have provided a musical outlet for students from across campus. Additionally, they have contributed outstanding musical performances for events on campus, in the Abilene community, and its surrounding areas.

Eight students from McMurry University are traveling to Kobe, Japan on Nov. 19 to participate in an international Model UN Conference. The students will represent Spain and Portugal in a variety of committees, to discuss topics such as the nuclear situation in North Korea, the refugee crisis in Europe, and empowering women in conflict zones.

The following students achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the Fall 2016 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

Forty-five McMurry Honors Frst-Year Seminar students and students taking courses in religion and art traveled to to the Dallas area to tour Coptic, Indian and Eastern Orthodox churches.
