Nearly 150 Angelo State University student-athletes and student athletic trainers have made the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2019 spring semester. ASU posted the highest number of honorees for any LSC school. To be eligible for the Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete or athletic trainer must earn at least a 3.3 grade point average (GPA) for the semester and be on a current team roster. A total of 11,406 students enrolled during the 2019 spring term at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or to undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

Angelo State University conferred 820 undergraduate and graduate degrees on 814 graduates during its 2019 spring commencement exercises on May 11 in the ASU Junell Center/Stephens Arena in San Angelo, Texas. Coastal Carolina University graduates are exactly what the world needs, according to commencement speaker and doctoral candidate Leigha Peterson. Peterson addressed the graduating class of 2019 - more than 1,200 students - during three separate commencement ceremonies at the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center May 10-11. "Whatever you are, put it out there," she said, "because it is better than good enough. It is exactly what the world needs!"

Angelo State University's chapter of the Order of the Sword and Shield national honor society inducted 26 new members during a recent ceremony in ASU's Kay Bailey Hutchison Center for Security Studies. The Order of the Sword and Shield is the only academic and professional honor society dedicated exclusively to homeland security, intelligence, emergency management and all protective security disciplines. The University of Alabama recently selected 40 students as Capstone Men and Women. Capstone Men and Women serve as official ambassadors of UA. They assist the University president's office, admissions and alumni during functions held on campus and in other locations, as well as host daily tours of the campus for prospective students and other visitors.

To be eligible for the Dean's List, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 3.5 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.
